Official Bio

Dr. Keshav Walke is a seasoned academician and social work professional with a rich educational background, including an MSW in CCA & MPSW, an MA in Sociology, and a PhD. He also holds the NET qualification. Currently, he is the Professor & Head of the Department of Social Work at Matru Sewa Sangh Institute of Social Work, Nagpur. Dr. Walke is actively involved in various prestigious roles, such as being a member of the Working Group on “Labour Welfare” under the Chhattisgarh State Planning Commission, and the NSS State Financial Planning Committee, Maharashtra.

As the Director of Va Ja Ha Foundation and Vice President of the Indian Society of Criminology (ISC) Nagpur Branch, he champions social causes, focusing on labor welfare, child protection, and tribal rehabilitation. He has held key leadership positions, including Officiating Principal at MSSISW and Director of NSS at RTM Nagpur University. His work has earned him several awards, including the Maharashtra State NSS Best Programme Officer Award (2015-16) and the Distinguished Researcher Award (2018) from VMS Research Foundation. Dr. Walke is also recognized for his extensive research, with numerous publications, international conference presentations, and book contributions.
