As a professor in the field of social work and a prolific leader in various organizations, Dr. Walke’s academic contributions, international research presentations, and deep-rooted advocacy for tribal rights have earned him numerous awards and recognition worldwide.”

Dr. Walke’s research interests span across child protection, tribal rehabilitation, rural youth empowerment, and social science research, with a focus on life skills and career counseling. He has presented 27 research papers at national and international seminars, with 12 presentations in conferences abroad. His publications include 19 research papers in refereed journals, and he has guided 8 PhD students, with 6 more currently under his supervision. Dr. Walke has authored the book “Tribals in Tiger Territories of Vidarbha: Issues and Challenges”, and edited another on tribal rights and challenges in protected areas.
